Over the past few weeks we have been working on our complete office revamp! We moved out of our old office which was just upstairs to where our new office is, so the actual move was pretty easy. With the move we decided to get all new desks complete with super comfortable office chairs. We purchased the high gloss red desks from IKEA that match the high gloss red coffee table perfectly! Now that we have a little more space to stretch out we added a small meeting area right in the office. The Baldwin Video team is very excited to start the year off fresh in our clean new office space!
We are very honored that we have been placed on the exclusive list for the Sanderling Resort Preferred Vendors! We are thrilled to be on this list as we have done many beautiful weddings at the resort and have met some wonderful vendors along the way. If you haven't been to the Sanderling Resort since they finished their resort wide remodel, you definitely need to check it out! They have gone above and beyond to create the utmost Outer Banks Resort that is perfect for beach weddings of all sizes. A Look at Our New DSLR Camera and What It Can Bring to Your Outer Banks Wedding Videography.
When it comes to videography especially videography done for our valued clients it really pays to hold out for nothing but the best. These days, that means choosing digital SLR cameras and making the most of them to capture every nuance of life s most precious moments.
We ve added a top-of-the-line Canon C100 complete with stellar lenses to our repertoire and we couldn t be more excited about what this means for your Outer Banks wedding videography!
The Benefits of DSLR Videography- Any good videographer will tell you that the key to filming great video lies in the videoographer s ability to capture the moment. While part of this is about natural patience and skill, the rest of it is about the tools one uses. The major benefit of DSLR cameras (such as our C100) is they re fast! This is essential when doing a good job shooting live events or taking candid shots, because a special moment could be gone before you know it. Standard cameras take a second to focus and then to finally grab the shot. Sometimes you don t have that second. However, DSLR cameras eliminate the shutter mechanism that causes this delay, allowing your Outer Banks wedding videographer to get the right shots more of the time.
DSLR cameras are also better at getting great shots in low light and reducing visual noise as well.
So What Does This Mean for Your Wedding Videos?
It means that those little fleeting moments that are such a huge part of special events won t be lost when it comes to your wedding videos. And not only will they be there, but they ll be captured, crisply, cleanly, and in vibrant living color that will do them proper justice no matter where they happen or how. Let our Canon C100 bring that special touch to your wedding! You ll be so glad you did.
One of the best parts about this job is being able to travel to new locations and working with fabulous couples from all over. When Breanne and Matt contacted us about filming their Pembroke Hall wedding we were thrilled to shoot at such a historic venue. Overlooking the Edenton Bay, this venue is a landmark for the Edenton community and has held a strong presence since its construction in 1850. The couple decided on having their ceremony outside on the front porch with guests sitting below on the front walkway. Mr. Wayne Wood lead the ceremony as the couple exchanged vows and said "I do." As the processional was underway the Bride and Groom made their way around the downtown area in a horse-drawn carriage. We had a great time working alongside talented photographer, Amy Gibbons of Still Frames Photography. Amy has a terrific personality that really meshes well with couples, she also takes fantastic photos. The evening continued with the incredible Hot Cakes Band who had the tent pumping, this five piece band had a great assortment of songs they perform. As the night came to a close, the couple made their way through a sparkler exit as they jumped on board a vintage trolley for their grand exit. Thanks again for choosing Baldwin Video for your Pembroke Hall Wedding!!!

Sada and Scott came all the way from Pennsylvania to have their wedding at the Wild Horse which is a beautiful event home in Carova Beach, NC. We started the day with a first look on the beach of the Wild Horse where the couple was able to see each other just before the ceremony took place. It's always fun to do this ahead of time and catch the raw emotions that the couple shares for one another. Laura Sorensen from Sugar Snap Events did a fantastic job coordinating such a large event in the 4x4 area which can certainly be a daunting task. Another tricky part about weddings this far down the beach is transportation, not many places offer 4x4 guest transportration. Fortunately Corolla Shuttle provided all of the guests with transportation to and from the Wild Horse. We had such a great time filming this wedding, be sure to check out the aerial footage we managed to grab of the event home. Thanks again for choosing Baldwin Video for your wedding videography at the Wild Horse!!
Abbey and Ben had their wedding right on the beach in Nags Head, NC. The weather for the day was a little questionable, but the rain and wind held out for them to exchange vows. Coordinating for the event was done by Audra Just of 1587. We always enjoy working alongside great photographers, Sarah Kennan of Sarah Keenan Photography and Design is always such a pleasure to work with. The celebration later continued at 108 Budleigh in Downtown Manteo. Be sure to pay close attention to the speech by Ben's groomsman Chris Long, Chris plays for the St. Louis Rams and gave a pretty funny speech! Matt Cooper from Outer Banks Music Masters did a great job getting everyone out on the dance floor and ensuring that the right songs were played all night long. Congratulations to Abbey and Ben and thanks for choosing Baldwin Video as your Outer Banks Wedding Videographer!
Melissa and Andrew's Sanderling Resort Wedding started out with a beautiful September day with clear blue North Carolina skies. We met Melissa over at the resort where she was accompanied by her bride's maids that helped her get into her beautiful wedding dress for her big day. Tony Joseph with I DO OBX Weddings did a fantastic job leading the couples intimate ceremony as they exchanged vows ocean-side. The couple then took part in a "Sand Ceremony" lead by Tony which added a special touch to their day. Jessica Chapman did a fantastic job coordinating all of the details and making sure that everything happened exactly how the couple wanted. DJ Bruce Jones did a fantastic job mixing the music just right to keep everyone out on the dance floor and having a good time. Outer Banks photographer Matt Lusk, with Matt Lusk Photography is always a blast to work with during weddings. Matt captured some truly incredible photos that we also have featured in this post. The evening ended with the couple taking a romantic walk down the boardwalk to the gazebo which overlooks the Currituck Sound. We had such a great time with this couple along with all of the great Outer Banks Vendors, thanks again for choosing Baldwin Video for your Sanderling Resort Wedding Videography!!

Sarah and Kevin decided on the remote location of Carova Beach for their event which is one of out favorite spots for wedding videography! The couple chose The Dream for the location of both the ceremony site and reception. The deck of the event home is perfect with its panoramic ocean views which is why the couple chose to exchange their vows right at that very spot. Leading them through the ceremony was Rev. Jay Bowman who did a fantastic job as their officiant. Lauren with All Eyes on the Bride did a fantastic job with the brides makeup along with the bridal party's makeup. Presentation and taste are two important things when it comes to great wedding caterers, Coastal Provisions goes above and beyond with their food by using the freshest of ingredients. When it came time for the speeches, Sarah's mom did something a little different which eneded up being a beautiful poem that she had written by herself. (Be sure to check it out in the video below!) As the party continued on, DJ Matt Copper made sure to play everyone's favorites and keep the guests moving. We had such a great time with this couple and their wonderful families, thanks again for choosing Baldwin Video for your Carova Beach Wedding Videography!
We spent a lot of time at the Grande Ritz Palm this year and we can totally understand why couples choose it for their wedding. Grande Ritz Palm Wedding Videography is always fun for us because their are so many opportunities for great footage, whether it be the amazing architecture, beautiful sound access, or a short walk across the street to the beach. Tonya and Keith saw all of this beauty when they decided to have their event at this location. Keith's cousin Rev. Kenneth Richardson lead the couple through the exchanging of vows right on the Currituck Sound. Behind every wonderful wedding is a wonderful wedding planner, Heather Clark of A Premiere Event did a fantastic job making sure every detail looked and happened exactly as the bride and groom imagined it. We always have fun working alongside the very talented Julie Dreelin of Beach Productions. The party continued after the ceremony with Sound Wavz playing all the right songs to keep the crowd pumped! Thanks again to such a fun couple for choosing Baldwin Video for your Grande Ritz Palm Wedding Videography!
When Sara and Marc decided to have a 108 Budleigh Wedding in Manteo, NC their biggest draw was the small lighthouse located right on the waterfront known as Marshes Lighthouse. The weather held out even though there was a "chance" of rain as Jay Bowman noted when he conducted the ceremony on the lawn in Downtown Manteo. Not only did the ceremony go perfectly, the reception couldn't have been any more perfect thanks to Beth Pallett and her incredible team from Engaging Events OBX. It's always fun to work with other vendors that aren't afraid to step outside of the box, Matt Lusk with Matt Lusk Photography is cretainly one of those vendors and it showed with the awesome shots he captured. Making all of the announcements and helping everyone shake their grove thing was Matt Cooper with Outer Banks Music Masters. We couldn't have asked for a more fun couple, thanks again for choosing Baldwin Video for your Outer Banks destination wedding!
Alecia and Matthew's Grande Ritz Palm wedding took place in the small town of Duck, North Carolina. The ceremony took place right on the water overlooking the Currituck Sound. The couple's intimate ceremony was lead by Outer Banks officiant Rev. Rande Banks who did a fantastic job. The evening closed with an amazing sunset followed by a rainbow that looked incredbile, be sure to watch out for it in the below footage. It was very nice to meet and work with Shannon from S.B.O'Mealy Photography who is a photographer based out of North Beach, Maryland. We had such a great time working with Alecia and Matthew, thanks for choosing Baldwin Video for your Outer Banks destination wedding.
We had a great time with Becky and Scott's Hatteras Wedding videography at The Love Boat event home. The Love Boat is a beautiful house located on a large piece of property perfect for a tented reception, the property stretches all the way back to the Pamlico Sound. Becky and Scott exchanged their vows sound side on a warm and beautiful day with their families and friends. After the ceremony, we snuck away with the couple along with Daniel and Kate from Daniel Pullen Photography to go out to the beach and get some shots with the very weathered Frisco Pier. Getting guests out on the dance floor can sometimes be a challenge, but The Crowd never seems to have a problem getting everyone up and participating in the fun! Congratulations to Becky and Scott and thanks for choosing Baldwin Video for your Hatteras Wedding Videography!

Despite the rain the day of their ceremony, Brittany and Anthony's Kitty Hawk Pier wedding couldn't have gone any smoother. The wet weather was definitely a factor during the ceremony, however the guests and wedding party managed to stay slightly dry thanks to the beach umbrellas Hilton Garden Inn set up as it began to shower. As the ceremony commenced, guests quickly made their way under the pier for shelter from the rain while Matt Lusk with Matt Lusk Photgraphy continued taking photos. The reception kicked off inside the Kitty Hawk Pier where George Wainwright of Coastal DJ had the tunes pumping for a very fun crowd of guests. The bride and groom had a special visit from a mountaineer which suited this couples love for The West Virginia Mountaineers. (Be sure to look for it at the end of the video!) OBX Trolley provided shuttle services for when the guests departed the reception. Congratulations to Brittany and Anthony and thanks for choosing Baldwin Video for your Wedding Videography OBX!

Sandra and Patrick's Outer Banks wedding took place at the beautiful Grande Ritz Palm in Duck, NC. The OBX is filled with excellent venue choices, but what makes the Grande Ritz Palm prefect for most couples is the fact that the ceremony can take place right on the property's private beach overlooking the sound. We always have such a wonderful time filming here and the sunsets here are like no other. Audra Just of 1587 did a great job coordinating this event and making sure that everything happened on time and was perfect for the bride and groom. John Tyson with Wedding Heaven and Earth lead the ceremony as the couple exchanged their vows right on the waterfront. Matt Artz did an excellent job photographing the wedding and working with the couple on all of the shots that they wanted. Sue Artz did a great job making sure that everyone was out on the dance floor getting their groove on! Congratulations to Sandra and Patrick and thanks for choosing Baldwin Video for your OBX Wedding Videography!
