We just love filming weddings at the Sanderling Resort in Duck, North Carolina. With Alicia Tonione running the show, Matt Lusk snapping amazing pics and DJ Matt Cooper setting the pace, the day was perfect for Jade and John to make it official. Cheers to another great wedding and couple at the Sanderling.
Lauren and Brian traveled from Miami, to meet up with friends and family, and have their dream wedding at the Sanderling Resort. The weather was beautiful for a wedding with blue skies and a gorgeous sunset. Debbie Norris coordinated the wedding to perfection with DJ Matt Cooper setting the tone. Another incredible wedding in Duck, NC.
The Currituck Club is another fantastic venue that the Outer Banks has to offer. The club features a beautiful golf course, expansive sound front views, and elegant clubhouse. When choosing a location, Meghan and Ben decided that a Currituck Club wedding would be perfect for their day! Once the couple was ready we made our way over to the Club for a first look on the sound front that was truly amazing! We worked closely with photographer Ryan of Coastal Shots for all of the bridal party footage/pictures. After leaving the sound we made our way over to the Historic Corolla Chapel for the ceremony. Guests arrived to the ceremony location via the Corolla Trolley. Pastor Jim Southern did a wonderful job with the ceremony as well as leading Meghan and Ben through their heartfelt wedding vows. After the ceremony we made our way back over to the Currituck Club for the reception festivities. DJ John Harper did a wonderful job keeping the party lively as guests annihilated the dance floor! The best part about weddings at the Currituck Club, Ashley Earnhardt and her wonderful staff! This crew of extremely talented people did a phenomenal job with all of the details throughout the day and made sure that everything was perfect for the couple. We want to wish Meghan & Benjamin the very best!

Jenny and Peter's Outer Banks wedding happened at the prefect time! When we arrived at the ceremony location the weather looked a little iffy, but as the ceremony began the clouds broke and it couldn't have been anymore perfect! Guests were greeted to the ceremony by music played by Kim Kalman. The ceremony was conducted by the wonderful officiant Rev. Shirley Anne, who lead the couple through their intimate vows. After the ceremony we worked alongside Outer Banks photographer Jeanie Cubin with A Photo Moment to capture the couple and their family on the beaches of Corolla. As we made our way to the tented reception, we were amazed by the beautiful decor that went perfectly with the wedding theme! The lovely ladies with Carolina Wedding Co. did a fantastic job with all of the florals for the day as well as the event coordination. Tent and rentals for the wedding were provided by Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals. Guests enjoyed a plethora of food created by the talented crew from Dawn's Kitchen Catering. And just when you thought you had enough to eat, the lovely wedding cake by Great Cakes of the Outer Banks had you thinking otherwise! DJ Mike with Outer Banks DJ kept guests of all ages happy on the dance floor the entire evening. We wish Jenny and Peter all the best, thank you for choosing Reel Love Weddings for your Outer Banks wedding cinematography!

Kriston and Josh's First Colony Inn wedding is certainly one for the books! Heather with Heather Events did an amazing job throughout the entire day making sure that every detail was not missed. The couple chose to make things easy and get ready right at the First Colony Inn with Hair and Makeup by Glimmer. We then made our way across the street to the beach where they would exchange their vows oceanside. Chairs and Arch for the ceremony were setup by I Do OBX Chairs, with the added arch flowers by Lisa Speight. Custom bouquets were created by Johnson's Gardens Florist. Jeremy Russell did a fantastic job as always with the ceremony music and gave the wedding that extra beachy touch! Thomas-Steele Carr lead the couple through their intimate vows and added special touches to the ceremony. Once Kriston and Josh said their I Dos and made their way down the aisle it was time for photos with the super talented Sharon Elizabeth Photography. We really enjoyed working alongside Sharon and her team to capture the couple truly in their element. One of our favorite clips is the surfboard shot with the custom board from Outer Banks Boarding Company. Once we made our way off the beach and over to the reception at First Colony Inn, we were blown away by the amazing tent and rentals by Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals. The expansive tent paired nicely with the decorations created by Karla & Teresa Cobb and also the Boat Bar by Renee Landry Events. Guests certainly enjoyed the delicious food provided by Leon Nixon Catering, and the fun filled photo booth by The Burlap Booth. After dinner the couple cut into the lovely wedding cake by Great Cakes which paired nicely with cupcakes created by Lisa Speight. Dancing continued throughout the night and DJ Jeremy Branch had guests on their feet the entire evening! We wish Kriston and Josh all the best, thank you for choosing Reel Love Weddings for your Outer Banks wedding videography!

We love everything about a Black Stallion Wedding, this home is truly a work of art and an amazing Outer Banks wedding venue! That's exactly what lead Jennifer and Jamie to choosing such an incredible location as The Black Stallion. Our day started out in the Grand Suite where Jennifer was getting ready before making her way down the aisle. The couple opted for an intimate backyard ceremony lead by Nicole Nickischer with ceremony music performed by Club Violin. Chairs and rentals for the ceremony and reception were delivered and setup by the crew at Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals. After the ceremony had completed, photographer Joe Bertoline worked side by side with us to capture the family and bride and groom in this gorgeous setting. The beautiful flowers and decor for the day were created by Bells & Whistles. Guests enjoyed delicious appetizers and entrees from Kelly's and a lovely wedding cake by Just Desserts to satisfy their sweet tooth! DJ Bruce had the party going strong throughout the evening with guests tearing up the dance floor! Coordinating this flawless event was Kerri with The Proper Setting who we always enjoy working with! We wish Jennifer and Jamie all the best, thank you for choosing Reel Love Weddings for your Outer Banks wedding videography!

Kim and Erica traveled all the way from Washington DC to have a First Colony Inn wedding in Nags Head, NC. The day started with Kim getting ready at the Inn with help from the girls with Lovie's, hair-stylist Alicia Arranz and makeup-artist Jennifer Yell. As hair and makeup finished up, Kim and her bridesmaids began to get ready. Kim's dress was beautiful and stylish and perfect for a beach ceremony and outdoor reception. Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals provided the expansive tent which housed their tables, chairs, and linens. No detail was missed inside of the tent as the team with Bells & Whistles added their special touch including flowers, decor, and table center pieces. As the ceremony began, guests were welcomed by the acoustic music played by Kim's brother-in-law Ryan. The intimate ceremony was lead by Kim & Erica's close friend Coleen. The gorgeous driftwood arch was also created by Bells & Whistles and added a unique touch for this beachside ceremony. Following the ceremony, Julie Dreelin with Beach Productions photographed the wedding party along with this incredible couple, this made for some awesome footage! As we made our way back to the reception tent, guests were having a blast with the photo booth provided by ShutterBooth. Guests also enjoyed an array of appetizers and unique fare created by the talented culinary team known as 1587 Catering. The lovely meal paired great with the Cupcakes and Candy Buffet created by Linda Bradley. As the evening drew, Coastal DJ kept the party pumping for everyone under the tent! Ashley & Jeffrey's Currituck Club wedding started out with Ashley and the girls getting ready at the clubhouse with hair and makeup being done by Glimmer. Jeffrey and his groomsmen began getting ready at a near by home while Ashley and the girls took some pre-photos with Ryan of Coastal Shots at the Whalehead Club. Once we were finished up at the Whalehead Club we made our way to the ceremony site. Guests arrived cool and on time via the Corolla Trolley. The best thing about filming weddings in the Outer Banks is the ability to either being on the oceanside or soundside for an outdoor ceremony. This soundside ceremony lead by Rev. Shirley Anne couldn't have been any more perfect, especially with the added decor created by The Embellishers! Once the couple said "I Do" and made their way down the aisle, the photo sessions with family and the wedding party began. We had an awesome time getting some "different angles" of the wedding party as they made their way around the beautiful Currituck Club golf course. Once the couple made it back to the club house, the festivities were underway and the incredible staff of the Currituck Club began serving dinner. As dinner was completed Ashley and Jeffrey cut into the lovely wedding cake and cupcakes created by Carolina Cupcakery. What pairs great with just about anything... Duck Donuts!! Ashley and Jeffrey had donut favors for their guests to enjoy throughout the evening. DJ John Harper did an amazing job keeping the party going as guests tore up the dance floor! Last but certainly not least, Ashley Earnhardt and her wonderful staff did a phenomenal job with all of the details throughout the day and making sure that everything was perfect for the couple. Ashley and Scott's Corolla NC wedding began as we gathered footage of the couple getting ready at the Twiddy rental home, Wish Upon A Star. The home worked great as the couple got ready on separate floors. Ashley's hair and makeup was done by the extremely talented Amber with Bombshells Studio. Due to heavy rain throughout the day from Tropical Depression Ana, the couple opted to have their ceremony indoors to keep guest dry. Rachel and her team with Glam & Lace worked quickly to transform the the once living room into an elegant ceremony location. The intimate ceremony was conducted by a family friend who did a fantastic job leading the couple through their vows and readings. Guests enjoyed as Jessie Taylor Music played the violin for the opening and closing of the ceremony. After the ceremony as the rain broke for a short moment, we were able to venture outside with the crazy-talented duo known as Ryan & Rach Photography. The rain held out long enough for us to get some beautiful footage of the couple on the beach and we were even able to capture a rainbow! As guests made their way into the reception tent they were blown away by the pool cover provided by Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals. They quickly found their seats by the cleanly designed escort cards and table numbers created by HLR Designs, who also created Ashley & Scott's formal invitations. This beautifully created location paired perfectly with the elegant florals and decor created by Renee Landry Events. Another great feature that was added to the tent was the amazing lighting design and chandeliers prodived by John with Blue Steel Lighting Design. Once guests had settled in after cocktail hour, the amazing staff with Black Pelican Catering began serving a delicious dinner. After Ashley and Scott cut into the stunning wedding cake, guests enjoyed cupcakes provided by Cotton Candy Baking Company. DJ Bruce kept the party going all night on the clear dance floor! We had such a great time filming Ashley & Scott's Corolla NC wedding and we wish them all the best! Enjoy their highlight wedding trailer below :)

Betsy and Charlie traveled all the way to the Outer Banks from Minnesota for their intimate Sanderling Resort wedding. Betsy and the girls began with pampering at the Sanderling Salon & Spa as Charlie and the guys began getting ready for the ceremony. Renee Landry Events created stunning decor for the ceremony which included a custom bar backdrop, arbor, and various other pieces. The ceremony staging was provided by Metro Rentals. Music for the ceremony was put on by Carl with Coastal Dj & Video. This ceremony was slightly different than any other one we've ever filmed at the Sanderling. As it opened with Betsy and Charlie's friend Dan lead the readings...the rain began to arrive. What started as a few sprinkles turned into a full on down pour! Betsy and Charlie being the troopers they are stood fast through the storm with guests and wedding party taking shelter under umbrellas. We were able to relocate our cameras between speeches under a nearby balcony for the completion of the ceremony and still get amazing footage. Once the storm had passed the couple began their photo series with the amazingly talented Genevieve Stewart Photography. Genevieve and Chad are both amazing to work with and go above and beyond to get artistic photos throughout the day! As we entered the reception, we were blown away by the amazing decor and floral arrangements by Renee Landry Events. The beautiful farm tables Renee provided went great with the ghost chairs that Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals had to offer. All of the decor with the white dance floor provided by the Sanderling really tied the room together for a one of a kind reception look. As guests mingled on the rear boardwalk they were greeted by a Fly Over Message pulled by Jenny Hawk with OBX Air Planes. Debbie with the Sanderling did an AMAZING job running the show and making sure all of the events went as planned! As the evening progressed, guests enjoyed dancing the night away with this lovely couple. We wish Betsy and Charlie all the best, enjoy their Sanderling Resort wedding trailer below!!

Karin & Charlie tied the knot in Nags Head, NC and had the most beautiful Jennettes Pier Wedding! We started the day out working side by side with Natalie Heim Photography as the couple opted to do a first look under the pier. We love the intimate moment of a first look and this is truly present when the couple saw each other for the first time on their wedding day! When entering the pier the first thing we noticed were the gorgeous florals and decor created by the amazingly talented team of Renee Landry Events. Accompanying the beautiful decor were the linens and dance floor provided by Metro Rentals. The couple chose and indoor ceremony lead by Rev. Bruce Cote their hometown minister with Piano playing by local musician Matt Fleckenstein. As the ceremony came to a close and the party kicked off, Matt Cooper with Outer Banks Music Masters kept the crowd on the dance floor and the tunes pumping! Guests enjoyed a lovely meal and wedding cake prepared by the wonderful culinary artists at Lone Cedar Caf . Penny Robbins with Robbins Nest Sitting Service made sure all of the little ones at the wedding were taken care of throughout the day. Last but certainly not least, a big shout out to the team of planners from Glam & Lace who made sure every last detail was perfect for the couple! We truly enjoyed being the videographers for Karin and Charlie's wedding, enjoy their Jennettes Pier Wedding trailer below!
Elyse and Chris's Pirates Cove Pavilion Wedding is one that we were so glad to be a part of! We started the day out on Sailfish Drive in Pirates Cove where Elyse and the girls were getting ready. The beautiful waterfront views that Pirates Cove offers are perfect backgrounds for video and photos. As we finished up with the girls, we made our way over to Mount Olivet UMC in Manteo where Chris and his groomsmen began to arrive. Mount Olivet's historic sanctuary was the perfect ceremony location for Elyse and Chris's ceremony. As the ceremony closed, family and wedding party photos began with the ever-talented photographer, Matt Lusk. Once we left the church, we made our way to Downtown Manteo which also provided a beautiful background for video footage. After finishing up downtown we made our way over to the expansive Pirates Cove Pavilion. We love filming in the Pavilion with the beautifully lit ceiling feature the pavilion offers. Also having a reception literally right on the water doesn't get any more beautiful! The guests really enjoyed the amazing meal created by chefs Johanna and Justin Lachine of Cafe Lachine. If you've heard him on 99.1 The Sound you already know he's the man, DJ John Harper did a phenomenal job keeping guests on the dance floor and the music pumping into the wee-hours! We had the best time with Elyse and Chris and hope you enjoy their Pirates Cove Pavilion Wedding trailer below!

Cerice and Keith's Ramada Plaza Wedding was certainly one for the books! This incredible couple traveled all the way from Oneonta, New York for their Outer Banks wedding. The day started with Cerice and the girls getting ready at the Ramada on one floor while Keith and the guys did the same on an alternate floor. Once everyone was ready, this lovely couple made their way down the aisle with Reverend Tanya Young of Outer Banks Wedding Ministries. Once the couple said I do, the formal photos began with Ryan of Coastal Shots Photography. All bouquets were created by the incredibly-talented Shelley with Honeysuckle Events. We wish Cerice and Keith the very best for years to come, thanks for choosing Reel Love Weddings for your Outer Banks wedding videography!

The Reel Love Weddings team kicked wedding season off this year with Toki and Tim's Persian graced Black Stallion Wedding in Corolla, NC. This wedding was certainly one for the books! We arrived early to gather some preparation shots as Nancy Harvey with Holiday House Wedding was adding her finishing touches on the indoor ceremony site. The great part about the newly built Black Stallion wedding/event home that Twiddy offers is the expansive levels of the home, which were perfect for the couples guest count. As Toki got ready in the elaborate pool house/honey moon suite, Alicia Arranz and Kelly Ives with Lovie's Salon and Spa took care of all hair and makeup needs for the bride. As the ceremony began, Ebi Homaifar lead Toki and Tim and all of their guests through a Persian ceremony. Molly Miller with A Barefoot Wedding, pronounced the couple husband and wife at the close of the ceremony. Following the ceremony the couple did a Dove release from When Doves Fly. Persian DJ Dariush got the party pumping as guests enjoyed cocktail hour around the event space. Along with the always-amazing food by Cafe Lachine, Toki's mother who is the owner of Pomegranate Kitchen created the tastiest Persian dishes we've ever had! All reception rentals were provided by the awesome crew at Ocean Atlantic Rentals. Throughout the day we really enjoyed working along side the talented George and Dionne, otherwise known as George Porter Photography. Connecting all of the details together for a seamless and stress free day was Kerri and her team from The Proper Setting. Kerri is always a real treat to work with and we look forward to more weddings with her this season! As the evening winded down, guests made their way back to their hotels safely with transportation provided by Corolla Trolley.
Hope you enjoy Toki & Tim's Black Stallion wedding trailer below!

Last weekend we had the opportunity of filming the Sanderling Resort Bridal Tasting at the Sanderling's Pavilion. The Sanderling Resort is one of our favorite Outer Banks wedding venues due to the simple fact that their entire staff is AMAZING! We had the great fortune of talking with Debbie Norris one of the event planners for the Sanderling. Debbie enjoys the bridal tasting for the reason that she gets to meet with Sanderling couples and have them experience what goes into a wedding at the resort. Chef Marty Pollock created at wonderful spread of appetizers and entrees for couples to enjoy as the evening progressed. Couples also had the opportunity to chat with a few of the Sanderling's preferred vendors such as Holiday House Weddings & Events, Mary Basnight Photography, Sugar Snap Events, Bells & Whistles, Renee Landry Style, Great Cakes, Metro Rentals, BBJ Linen, The Shooting Gallery, Blue Steel Lighting Design, Distinct Delights, OBX Sunset Slush, and Reel Love Weddings :)
We look forward to working with the Sanderling Resort this year for future weddings!
