We always feel very privileged to film at the beautiful Sanderling Resort in Duck, North Carolina. The Zelms' wedding gave us the opportunity to capture their love in an amazing location. After the couple got ready, they made their way to the beach where they tied the knot as friends and family looked on. The newlyweds then had an epic reception with Ten Spot Band keeping everyone on the dance floor. Genevieve Stewart was there to capture gorgeous photos and the Sanderling served up some delicious food:) Take a look at this trailer!!
The Moore Wedding at the Mark Twain House, in Carova NC, was on one of the most beautiful days of the year. The newlyweds tied the knot on the beach, with a sand ceremony and Reverend Childress making it official , while friends and family looked on. They then held an amazing reception by the pool with a live band. The couple managed to sneak away for some epic sunset footage which made their wedding day perfect. Take a look!
Jamie and Brian Martin were this year's Dream Wedding winners, and everything came together wonderfully to make their big day as memorable as could be. After getting ready at the Tranquil House Inn, Jamie and Brian met on the docks of the Manteo waterfront for a first-look while the wedding party watched from the rooms upstairs! We shot alongside Courtney Hathaway Photography for some fun moments with the bridesmaids and groomsmen, before the party took a trolley to the ceremony site on the beach in Nags Head. I Do OBX Chairs had an awesome arbor set up for the couple to exchange vows under, in a ceremony led by Tony Joseph. After the big kiss, everyone headed back to Manteo to 108 Budleigh for one awesome party. PROBX DJ played the tunes, and Blue Steel Lighting had the site looking spectacular inside and out. Jamie and Brian cut the cake, and everyone danced all night...while wearing ridiculous props provided by 10 Fish Photo Booth. We also tested out a "bullet-time" effect during the evening! Everything was perfectly coordinated by Heather Events. We loved working with Jamie and Brian, and all the vendors who did an awesome job on this big day! Check out the highlights!
When Anthony first contacted us about filming his proposal to Michelle we were extremely excited. Nothing beats a little under cover surveillance action! We met Anthony in the Food Lion parking lot in Corolla, about an hour before the proposal, to mic him up and go over the details. We were a bit nervous that Michelle might find the mic wire or notice us on the beach but we pulled it off like true detectives. Anthony surprised her with a message in a bottle and a gorgeous ring. She of course said yes and the rest is history! Warning...this video made my pregnant wife cry.
The Currituck Club is another fantastic venue that the Outer Banks has to offer. The club features a beautiful golf course, expansive sound front views, and elegant clubhouse. When choosing a location, Meghan and Ben decided that a Currituck Club wedding would be perfect for their day! Once the couple was ready we made our way over to the Club for a first look on the sound front that was truly amazing! We worked closely with photographer Ryan of Coastal Shots for all of the bridal party footage/pictures. After leaving the sound we made our way over to the Historic Corolla Chapel for the ceremony. Guests arrived to the ceremony location via the Corolla Trolley. Pastor Jim Southern did a wonderful job with the ceremony as well as leading Meghan and Ben through their heartfelt wedding vows. After the ceremony we made our way back over to the Currituck Club for the reception festivities. DJ John Harper did a wonderful job keeping the party lively as guests annihilated the dance floor! The best part about weddings at the Currituck Club, Ashley Earnhardt and her wonderful staff! This crew of extremely talented people did a phenomenal job with all of the details throughout the day and made sure that everything was perfect for the couple. We want to wish Meghan & Benjamin the very best!

The Reel Love Weddings team kicked wedding season off this year with Toki and Tim's Persian graced Black Stallion Wedding in Corolla, NC. This wedding was certainly one for the books! We arrived early to gather some preparation shots as Nancy Harvey with Holiday House Wedding was adding her finishing touches on the indoor ceremony site. The great part about the newly built Black Stallion wedding/event home that Twiddy offers is the expansive levels of the home, which were perfect for the couples guest count. As Toki got ready in the elaborate pool house/honey moon suite, Alicia Arranz and Kelly Ives with Lovie's Salon and Spa took care of all hair and makeup needs for the bride. As the ceremony began, Ebi Homaifar lead Toki and Tim and all of their guests through a Persian ceremony. Molly Miller with A Barefoot Wedding, pronounced the couple husband and wife at the close of the ceremony. Following the ceremony the couple did a Dove release from When Doves Fly. Persian DJ Dariush got the party pumping as guests enjoyed cocktail hour around the event space. Along with the always-amazing food by Cafe Lachine, Toki's mother who is the owner of Pomegranate Kitchen created the tastiest Persian dishes we've ever had! All reception rentals were provided by the awesome crew at Ocean Atlantic Rentals. Throughout the day we really enjoyed working along side the talented George and Dionne, otherwise known as George Porter Photography. Connecting all of the details together for a seamless and stress free day was Kerri and her team from The Proper Setting. Kerri is always a real treat to work with and we look forward to more weddings with her this season! As the evening winded down, guests made their way back to their hotels safely with transportation provided by Corolla Trolley.
Hope you enjoy Toki & Tim's Black Stallion wedding trailer below!

Lauren and Tyler's Koru Village wedding is one we will remember for years to come. This couple has a real passion for each other which showed in the 10 years they spent together before exchanging vows. We started our day out by filming Lauren and her bridesmaids and Tyler and his groomsmen getting ready in separate locations at the Beach Klub. Koru Village Spa took care of all makeup/hair details for Lauren and her girls. Once everyone was ready, we made our way to Our Lady of the Seas Catholic church located in Buxton. After the beautiful ceremony was complete, Mary and Mac with Mary Basnight Photography continued with photos for the family and wedding party. Mary and Mac are a real treat to work with, we enjoyed shooting alongside them throughout the day. Once we arrived at the Koru Village wedding pavilion we were greeted by the beautiful draping and lighting that Renee Landry Events provided. Renee and her team also created Lauren's exquisite bouquet and all of the boutonni res. The gorgeous arrangements on the tables as well as in the church were created by Lauren's talented mother, Arlene. As guests gathered around the pool for cocktail hour, they were serenaded by the One Love Caribbean Steel Drum Band. These guys are awesome at what they do!! All rentals for the event were provided by Ocean Atlantic Event Rentals who went above and beyond to provide top-notch service. Once guests arrived at their tables and dinner began, Gwen Hart and her team with Enchanted Cuisine started rolling out beautiful dishes one after another. As dinner ended and the party kicked off, Karl with Coastal DJ made sure that everyone was out on the dance floor throughout the evening. We wish this couple the very best for years to come!

Megan and Michael decided to have a North Carolina Aquarium wedding on Roanoke Island. This was the first time that we have filmed a wedding at the Aquarium's new dock and the weather couldn't have been any more perfect for an outdoor ceremony! The day started out at It's Royalty in Manteo where Megan and all of her bride's maids were getting hair and makeup done. From here we left to head to the Aquarium to meet Michael and his groomsmen for pre-ceremony footage. Upon our arrival I DO OBX Chairs was setting up the chairs in preparation for the ceremony. Ocean Atlantic Rentals was also at the Aquarium setting up rentals inside for the reception. Bells and Whistles did a fantastic job with the bridal parties flowers and arrangements. The ceremony opened with beautiful music from Club Violin that was heard all the way down the dock as the bride made her grand entrance. Rev. Jay Bowman did an incredible job as always leading the ceremony as the couple exchanged vows over the Croatan Sound. After the ceremony we worked with the wedding party and bride and groom along side Outer Banks wedding photographer Rich Coleman of ColemanShots. Rich and his team are always such a blast to work with and had us all laughing throughout the day! The chef and catering staff at Black Pelican created some incredible dishes and were super friendly to work with. What would great food be with out a fabulous cake, that's exactly what Just Desserts created! As the reception got pumping, Matt Cooper with Outer Banks Music Masters kept the music going and the guests on the dance floor. Leading the show for the entire day was Beth Pallett with Engaging Events, Beth is a rockstar and made sure everything went exactly as the bridge and groom had envisioned! We had such a great time working with Megan and Michael for their North Carolina Aquarium wedding and we wish them all the best in the future! Check out their wedding day trailer below!

Dana & Craig are from Northern, Virginia and decided to have their wedding at The Grand Ritz Palm located in the Town of Duck. Duck NC weddings are special due to the fact that on one side you have the beautiful Currituck Sound and on the other the vast Atlantic Ocean. Dana and Craig opted to have their ceremony on the beach just across the street from the reception location. The weather couldn't have been any more perfect for a beach ceremony! Rev. Jay Bowman did a fantastic job officiating the ceremony as he always does. We especially loved his "beach-people" comment, too funny!! Heather Clark with A Premiere Event went above and beyond making sure that everything went exactly as the bride and groom had imagined it. We always have fun working with new photographers and Ashley Peterson was a true blast to shoot alongside with. Be sure to check out Ashley's beautiful blog post here that she did for the couple. We enjoyed everything about this wedding and wish Dana and Craig the very best!

Hiring a Wedding Videographer Versus a Photographer-Who-Also-Does-Videos What s the DifferenceWhen it comes to hiring the right professional to help you commemorate your wedding by capturing it on film, most people s focus is on finding a good photographer. If they think about wedding videos at all, it s often as an afterthought. Therefore, it s all too easy for them to miss the benefits of hiring a professional who is trained specifically in videography, as opposed to simply looking for a photographer who also shoots videos .
Although shooting videos is certainly related to photography, it s important to realize that it s its own unique art. This being the case, it comes along with its own nuances, rules, and techniques.
Moving Images Require Different Considerations Than Still ImagesWhile a good Outer Banks wedding photographer will certainly have the know-how necessary to spot a memorable image, as well as to line it up properly for the best in timeless appeal, he or she is not going to be as well-versed in the art of actually compensating for the fact that it s moving.
Living, breathing images come attached to their own set of concerns and details. There s not just movement to consider. There s also sound and the unique effects elements like lighting will have on a video. Only a trained videographer is really going to understand how to make those things work for them, rather than against them. It could actually mean the difference between capturing a moment and missing it and when it comes to events like weddings, that s everything.
The Right Team for the JobHere at Baldwin Video Productions, we specialize in bringing top-notch start to finish image production to the table for your wedding. This includes professional videography that will capture every nuance of your special day. Trust us to bring you the most amazing Outer Banks wedding packages on your special day!
How Color and Detail in Your Wedding Scheme Can Really Add to Your Wedding VideographyMany people go to great pains in order to ensure that they have the right wedding videographer for the job and with good reason. Your wedding videography is going to be your way of traveling back in time to that special day and reliving it whenever you want. It will also be a legacy that you pass down to your children and grandchildren so that they will also be able to share your greatest moment with you into the future.
It s true that a videographer with a terrific eye is an important part of your memories. However, the look and visual appeal of your wedding video can be improved even further by your choice of wedding themes, colors, and details. Some options show up better in HD than others!
Choose Vibrant Color CombinationsWhether you re planning your own color scheme or working with a wedding coordinator to put together a theme that really pops, selecting a color combination that works well together can really make your video sing. Weddings don t have to be just white, ivory, and beige. Try making the traditional neutrals pop with accents in complementary colors or shades reminiscent of the season. You ll love how they look on TV.
Details Can Really Make a PictureMany brides choose to add unusual or personal details to their wedding theme in order to not only set their ceremony apart, but to add visual appeal to the scene and contribute to the building of a mood. Details like these can also make videos come out terrific as well. Try adding unusual, but classic touches to wedding party outfits like parasols or gloves. Themed d cor that features lots of thoughtful touches can help set a scene as well.
Let us help you make the perfect memories by giving your carefully selected wedding theme the Outer Banks wedding videography treatment it deserves.

Over the past few weeks we have been working on our complete office revamp! We moved out of our old office which was just upstairs to where our new office is, so the actual move was pretty easy. With the move we decided to get all new desks complete with super comfortable office chairs. We purchased the high gloss red desks from IKEA that match the high gloss red coffee table perfectly! Now that we have a little more space to stretch out we added a small meeting area right in the office. The Baldwin Video team is very excited to start the year off fresh in our clean new office space!
We are very honored that we have been placed on the exclusive list for the Sanderling Resort Preferred Vendors! We are thrilled to be on this list as we have done many beautiful weddings at the resort and have met some wonderful vendors along the way. If you haven't been to the Sanderling Resort since they finished their resort wide remodel, you definitely need to check it out! They have gone above and beyond to create the utmost Outer Banks Resort that is perfect for beach weddings of all sizes. This is also an incredible resort to come down for a week long or weekend stay to kick back and relax!
