Hafele Wedding Videography Project to end our 2017 season
Thanks Kelsey & Derrick for giving us the perfect way for Reel Love Weddings to end our 2017 wedding videography season!
The Hafele wedding was held on a gorgeous November day and was one to remember. The newlyweds tied the knot on the lawn at Marshes Light in downtown Manteo and then partied the night away at 108 Budleigh.
The day started with a romantic first look at the family beach house, which we had the pleasure of shooting with our good friends Ryan and Haley from Coastal Shots.

The Kitty Hawk Pier at the Hilton Garden Inn makes for an epic location for a gorgeous wedding. Danielle and Chris tied the knot on the pier with officiant Tony Joseph and their close friends and family watching on. They then moved the party inside for an amazing reception. Jeremy Russell Music was there to make the good times roll and we had the pleasure of shooting along Coleman Shots. Take a peek at the highlights!
The historic Whalehead Club in Corolla makes for a gorgeous waterside ceremony. Michael and Courtney shared their vows next to the Currituck Sound then had an awesome party on the grounds of the club. We shot alongside Nancy Ray Photography to capture all the fun, and multiple champagne pops! Kerri at The Proper Setting nailed the coordination, Cafe Lachine did an amazing catering, and Bells and Whistles made the whole setting look beautiful! Check out all the highlights!
Reel Love Weddings captured plenty of love and laughter from the Delano wedding at the Sanderling Resort. We could tell early on from their gorgeous "first look" that they were head over heels for each other. We enjoyed working with Neil GT Photography, as always, as we captured all of the details. Reverend Jay Bowman held a beautiful ceremony. It was great to see DJ Bruce keeping the party rolling too! Take a look!!
Derrick and Jacqueline had one awesome wedding at the Whalehead Club, and we had a blast being a part of their big day! The love their family and friends have for them was apparent from the moment we arrived, and we feel it's clear in this highlight reel too! Shoutouts to Sugar Snap Events for awesome coordination, All Eyes on the Bride for some gorgeous makeup, and Genevieve Stewart Photography for working alongside us to capture everything!
Ashley and Kevin's Currituck Club wedding was as beautiful as they come. The gorgeous sound front ceremony on the 7th hole was officiated by the talented Reverand Jay Bowman and was a stunning back drop to the couple's vows. After the newlyweds exchanged rings and sealed it with a kiss, Ginger Snaps Photography captured some amazing photos before the party moved to the clubhouse. That's where DJ Bruce took the festivities over and kept it going until the sparkler exit. Check out the trailer!
When Jessica and Robert were married in Corolla, NC, it was one of those perfect Outer Banks days. With friends and family there to witness the ceremony, the couple sealed it with a kiss. After vows were made and rings were exchanged, the couple released white doves in to a crystal blue sky. This was the first time we were able to use the super slow motion during a ceremony and it looked amazing. The ceremony was coordinated beautifully by The Embellishers and I Do OBX Chairs placed a gourgeous arch with the chairs. Take a peek.
What a way to kick off the 2016 wedding season! Kristina and Trent had a full-on wedding day at the Black Stallion home in Corolla. The ceremony upstairs was beautiful, and the party downstairs was a blast. The clouds cleared for a great photo-shoot on the wooden bridge in the Currituck Club, and Island Limo took the couple down the road to the Currituck Beach Lighthouse for more shots while everyone else enjoyed the cocktail hour. Ashley and Liz with Southern Hospitality Weddings & Events set the day up wonderfully. Check out these highlights and more below!
The Sanderling Resort loves to pamper their wedding couples. The 2016 bridal tasting had a huge turnout and was a great way for the Resort to show their brides and grooms what's in store when they get hitched. With great food and wine, beautiful decor, and an amazing location, the night really represents the experience of a Sanderling wedding.
As a busy professional videography company we rarely get the chance to produce videos just for us. I was an actor way before I ever picked up a camera and we, Chris and I, often joke about making comedic videos in our spare time. So we did.
Hiring a Wedding Videographer Versus a Photographer-Who-Also-Does-Videos What s the DifferenceWhen it comes to hiring the right professional to help you commemorate your wedding by capturing it on film, most people s focus is on finding a good photographer. If they think about wedding videos at all, it s often as an afterthought. Therefore, it s all too easy for them to miss the benefits of hiring a professional who is trained specifically in videography, as opposed to simply looking for a photographer who also shoots videos .
Although shooting videos is certainly related to photography, it s important to realize that it s its own unique art. This being the case, it comes along with its own nuances, rules, and techniques.
Moving Images Require Different Considerations Than Still ImagesWhile a good Outer Banks wedding photographer will certainly have the know-how necessary to spot a memorable image, as well as to line it up properly for the best in timeless appeal, he or she is not going to be as well-versed in the art of actually compensating for the fact that it s moving.
Living, breathing images come attached to their own set of concerns and details. There s not just movement to consider. There s also sound and the unique effects elements like lighting will have on a video. Only a trained videographer is really going to understand how to make those things work for them, rather than against them. It could actually mean the difference between capturing a moment and missing it and when it comes to events like weddings, that s everything.
